▬ DIGITAL CHARCOAL DRAWING ▬

My digital charcoal drawings are done utilizing a “subtracting” technique. The entirety of the drawing is done only on one single layer. I fill up the digital canvas with an even layer of charcoal and then start subtracting material while manipulating the transparency settings of the eraser tool. Once I have the majority of the drawing blocked out, I go back and add more material to the darker areas that might need more contrast.

▬ WHAT IS A GICLÉE PRINT? ▬

Archival Pigment Print. In the case of computer-generated, digital artwork, each print can be considered an original since it is not a copy or reproduction of anything. What distinguishes a giclée from other inkjet prints is that it is printed by state-of-the-art equipment, using pigmented inks onto museum-quality, 100% cotton rag archival fine art paper or canvas.
